Merritt Mattson, President

Merritt Mattson
,
of Yellow Page Consulting, LLC, is a recognized national authority on Yellow Pages and the broadcasting industry. He brings over thirty years of "on the street" experience in selling against them and helping businesses convert their investment to creative media. In doing so, he has talked to both consumers and business owners all across America, about the non-effectiveness of Yellow Pages in the marketplace. As a result, his seminar"TheOther Side of the Yellow Page Story" (That's the side business owners are paying too much for) gives a factual insight into this mysterious and often non-cost effective product. He works with media salespeople helping them develop the necessary techniques for freeing up vast amounts of revenue for use in their particular medium; AND THEIR CLIENTS THANK THEM FOR IT!

He also acts as a consultant to many of America's top businesses by showing them how to truly utilize the Yellow Pages.  His
"The Other Side of the Yellow Page Story" seminars have often been termed"The best I have ever attended."

As a presenter, he is a professional speaker with an extensive, successful, sales and management background who employs humor and everyday experiences to hammer home a powerful message. His depth as an author, as well as a manager and sales trainer, affords all in attendance an experience to remember.

"It was the best seminar at the convention," was the acclaim at the 2003 RAB convention in New Orleans.  "I got more out of this than any other session," was one of the comments at the Texas Association of Broadcasters convention.  "We've converted thousands and thousands of dollars to our station," is the comment by account executives across America.

Merritt has owned successful retail businesses as well as a national direct mail advertising company.  With National Merchandising Corporation, he climbed through the ranks from sales representative to President and CEO.  With that company, he served as national Sales manager, recruiting and training salespeople in all 50 states.  He was directly involved in the start up of the electronic directory services in the mid 80's. He was CEO of the 432-Free Company of St. Louis, Missouri and Vice President of the 1411 Company in Houston, Texas, both electronic directory information companies.  He was also the owner and President of the Trading Post newspaper in Fort Collins, Colorado.
When it comes to teaching the conversion of stagnant Yellow Page dollars into creative media, Merritt Mattson is the best in the nation.
